"Nice hotel good location for our trip"
We spent New Year in Amsterdam in a big group. This hotel was a great hub location for us because it was close to the party we were attending (although it is not in the centre it is well connected by the number 5 tram and the neighbourhood has some decent cafes etc.). The hotel can be a bit noisy and the facilities are not luxury but my room was clean and comfortable.

"Welcoming and comfortable. "
The room itself was simple, but clean and warm and bathroom was very nice. The buffet breakfast was great and had lots of options. All staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. It also has a great location with a tram stop directly at the front of the hotel and you can buy tickets at the front desk.

"nice place in a beautiful area"
The average of Amsterdam hotels is no so high, than this plase can be described as a very good one. The room is not very clean but comfortable and large, even if the wifi signal is very low and tv ha few international canals. The coffee maker doesn't work well. The bar along the street is very nice and provides you the breakfast a la carte, if you don't want to spend 16 euros for the continental breakfast. The staff is gentle and nice, and helpful. The meals are delicious.
"Very comfortable stay"
Me and my husband stayed here 16-18th Dec for his birthday Weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel for the price we payed. Check in was quick and easy and despite us arriving at 9am we left our luggage and went off to explore. The intercity train from schipol airport takes you to the tram station. There you get on the number 5 tram to central station ( 2 or 3 stops after you board you depart pretty much outside the hotel) the number 5 tram then takes you to all the best places. Red light district, dam Sq, museum quarter. Etc €7.50 gets you a 24hrs travel card. The hotel itself was very clean and we ate breakfast and dinner there. Both were Delish! Rooms were clean and adequate. The only negative point was that we were sandwiched between a stag group I think and they were very noisy at parts but that's no reflection on the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and nd answered any questions we had. We are already planning a return trip in the summer!
"Had the best stay!!!"
Where do i start? All i can give this hotel is praise. From Amsterdam central to beethovenstraat takes about 20 minutes on the number 5 tram. There is a tram stop outside the hotel. (called: gerrit van der veenstraat) We were greeted by a lovely man at the desk and gave us a keycard. Along with it is a wifi passcode, maps of the city and some discount vouchers. Really helpful if it is your first time in Amsterdam. Located in the 2nd floor, our room was very lovely. Bed was massive, there was a flat screen, wardrobe & safe, desk and a coffee maker machine. The toilet was a good size with a bath!! Well lit room and very good size. For the price we paid, it was really cheap! The hotel is about 5 minutes to the museum circle. Lovely And very helpful staff.. Across the street there is a starbucks and round the corner is a supermarket good for buying snacks/water etc. The area is very quiet, not "touristy" at all. No complaints about the noise. Althought, there were times wifi is slow but i can live with that.. Check out is at 11am, although if you dont leave till later, the rception can hold your luggage for you woth no charge. If i come back to Amsterdam, no doubt I will be back for this hotel. Easy to find, great location, cheap price & lovely staff!! THANK YOU!

The Leidseplein, the Dam, the Nine Streets and the Museumplein are all easy to reach from the hotel with public transport, a bike or on foot. From visiting internationally-renowned museums which host thousands of tourists each day, to discovering less touristic local museums in the capital: everything’s possible for those pleasure-lovers staying at Hampshire Hotel – Beethoven.

From major museums enjoying international renown to small local museums which are a little less touristic: you’ll find them all in the immediate vicinity of Hampshire Hotel – Beethoven. For instance, head to the Tassenmuseum Hendrikje on Herengracht: the largest bag museum in the world with a collection of more than 4,000 bags. Another museum you might take in while in Amsterdam is the Museum Willet-Holthuysen on Herengracht. This museum is devoted entirely to nightlife in the capital at the end of the nineteenth century, and familiarises you with the city in a very alternative way. If you’re interested in the capital’s history at other levels, then take a trip to Museum Het Schip in Amsterdam-West. Not only is this museum situated in the best-known building by Amsterdam School architect Michel de Klerk, but it also accommodates a unique labourer’s home from around 1921.
